Bio

Brigitte Engel spent her life in the wings of performance venues, from the Olympia to the Paris Opera, where creations lived for a single evening on stage. Her practice follows the opposite path: she gives permanence to what was made to last one night. Each piece is a wearable sculpture, named for the figure, idea or emotion it carries.
