Brigitte Engel
Jeweller

Bio
Born in Paris to a painter and Resistance fighter father and a famous jazz singer mother, at a time when mixed marriages were still outlawed in the United States, Brigitte inherited a dual legacy: art and transgression. But fate had other plans: family hardships forced Brigitte to start working at a very young age, taking her away from the world of creation. Yet destiny eventually led her to the Paris Opera. It was there, in the shadows of the stage sets, that her true calling awoke. Fifteen years of painting and sculpture followed. A prelude to her discovery of jewellery making.Statement
The creations of Brigitte Engel translate a language that cannot be learned, yet tell a universal story. An interpretation of expressions and emotions, crystallized into wearable sculptures. Forms that reflect a memory, an identity, or even a statement. Her work is an invitation to embrace our own.-
