Born from Eva Schipflinger and Charlotte Thomas’s collaboration, the collection Traversées brings together silver thread and art tapestry in a shared creative process that resulted in six unique pieces, each artist exploring the other’s technique.

Bio
Eva Schipflinger and Charlotte Thomas met in 2023 at a group art exhibition. An immediate connection emerged, and their respective techniques soon became both a pretext and a reason to meet again. Traversées, crossings, are the result of a research and creative process begun nearly two years ago, at the intersection of Eva’s primary material, silver thread, and Charlotte’s technique, art tapestry. A first collection of six unique pieces grew out of this original approach, in which each artist appropriates the other’s technique.Statement
Traversées Traverse, a vast field of possibilities. These woven, articulated jewels are made up of an assemblage of distinct elements that create connection.
They express les traversées, the crossings: the material finding its own path through the weave, the movements we make toward others, the bridges or ideas that align us or set us apart — all those paths that unite and open onto a vast field of possibilities.
