Bio
Babette Boucher is a French contemporary jeweler and multidisciplinary artist based in the south of France. Trained at AFEDAP in Paris and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Prof. Otto Künzli, she creates each piece by selecting the techniques and materials that best serve her intentions, exploring memory, the feminine sacred, and intergenerational transmission. Her jewelry often takes the form of ritual objects—markers of passage, resilience, and shared narratives between women—where traces, symbols, and a quiet sense of magic intersect. She has exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, and is represented by Galerie Wittenbrink.Statement
My work explores the intersection of memory, ritual, and the feminine sacred through contemporary jewelry and multidisciplinary practice. Each piece is conceived with a careful selection of techniques and materials that serve its meaning, transforming jewelry into objects that bear traces of passage, resilience, and shared narratives between women. I am interested in the poetic power of everyday materials, creating objects that act as markers of transition, remembrance, or quiet magic. My practice spans drawing, painting, and installation, in dialogue with the body, emotion, and collective experience. Through this approach, I seek to make visible what is felt, giving form to the unnameable , the ephemeral, and the ancestral.- Mail:
