Shahrzad Motallebi is an Iranian-born, Belgian jewelry artist and designer based in Chicago. She holds an MA in Jewelry Design and Silversmithing from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and an MFA in Metalwork and Jewelry Design with a focus on Digital Fabrication from Northern Illinois University.

With over a decade of experience in both traditional and digital jewelry practices, she combines ancient metalsmithing techniques with advanced CAD/CAM technologies. Statement

My artistic practice bridges ancient craftsmanship and contemporary technology. Drawing inspiration from Persian architectural geometry and mathematical art, I use algorithmic modeling to design intricate structures that explore the balance between precision and spontaneity. By integrating 3D printing and lost-wax casting, I create jewelry that embodies both digital logic and human touch. My work invites viewers to experience the quiet tension between control and chance, tradition and innovation.
