Statement
Siegfried De Buck jewel designer-silversmith, Professor Campus Sint-Lucas Antwerpen, multi-media artist .“Looking without knowing is very different from seeing with understanding”
His objects and jewellery are characterised by a very personal view and an excellent workmanship. In his creations Siegfried De Buck melts an image language which completely flows out of himself with an enormous command of material and technique. The result is an oeuvre which shows a strong personality and an artistic talent. According to Siegfried De Buck the perfection reveals itself in the end product. He therefore always assumes full responsibility for both design and realisation of his creations. His technical expertise willingness to explore materials and desire to look for new possibilities led to many inventive creations.
