This new comprehensive guide is published to celebrate the re-opening of the Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim in March 2006.
The Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim, which is to open again in March 2006 after extensive remodelling, is the only museum worldwide dedicated exclusively to jewellery. The collection ranges from Greek, Etruscan and Roman jewellery through the Renaissance, Baroque, Jugendstil / Art Nouveau and Art Déco to a unique collection of modern art jewellery from the past fifty yearss which is unique. The extensive Pforzheim Museum collection of rings from antiquity to the present is particulary important.
