Intro
Illustrator Linda Rusconi tells the story of her father, Jurriaan van den Berg—graphic designer, but above all, a collector. On a modest salary, he built one of the largest private collections of modern jewellery in the Netherlands over the course of 30 years.
After his death, she embarks on a journey through his extensive archive, filled with letters, receipts, and diary notes, visiting people who can shed light on her father’s life. Art historian Liesbeth den Besten provides insight into the significance of the collection.

Linda weaves these conversations together with her own memories of a father who only spoke the language of art. A father who was rarely present. A father with whom, as it turns out, she shared far more than she ever imagined.

The jewellery collection of Jurriaan van den Berg has been acquired and digitised by CODA Museum in Apeldoorn.
