Ruudt Peters (b. 1950) is one of the most important trailblazers of conceptual artjewellery in the world. His transgression of the limitations of material choice, wearability, context and presentation questions traditional definitions of jewellery over again in ever new ways.
Caroline Broadhead (b. 1950) is a highly diverse artist whose work ranges from objects in jewellery and textile via spatial installations to dance productions and performances. She created objects that no longer concerned just parts of the body but that rather encompassed it as a whole – items of clothing made of simple white fabric that was still wearable yet formally emancipated from their function completely.
Mia Maljojoki (b. 1970) speaks passionately about the emotional potential of her jewelllery. In her works, she wants to capture the moment, make feelings permanent and trigger social interaction. Her pendants and neckpieces, in which cold porcelain clashes with neon textiles, are never over-ornate, instead they show a playful lightness.
