Intro
1000 times, 2000 times, 3000 times for a single necklace. In order to create moving formative elements, the artist must solder and sand thousands of times, and every smooth surface and curve is the result of those efforts. The effort is not visible to the eye, but it's something that can be realized after deliberate thought.

I think to live is to find these invisible things.
That is why I hope someone will be able to find the back of the moon.
I want more stories to be discovered about
the back of you and me.
For all of us who have become accustomed to predicting things without effort.

We live in a period of time that is intuitive and sensory-oriented.
For the people of this era who are becoming more and more used to stimulation,
I, the artist, have tried to tell a story that is filled with inner thoughts,
using things that require deliberate viewing.
The BACK OF THE MOON series is a continuation from 2018.
Forms created by metalwork seem simple in shape at first but
they attempt a change of shape through small pieces that move.
Through the movement of the person wearing it, through the light, or through the reflective surface of the metal,
they diversify the image and bring forth a small change that can only be perceived by observing closely.
As it feels like a softly-spoken, whisper-like conversation
that can only be discerned by paying attention, it makes the viewer want to observe it that much closer.
