Yuxi Lu transforms industrial cables into branch-like wearable forms. By establishing a tension between their visual appearance and tactile experience, her practice interrogates and deconstructs the conventional nature-technology dualism.

As technological civilization continues to reshape our ecological perception, the boundary between the "natural" and the "artificial" is dissolving in unprecedented ways. Beneath our feet, electric cables—silent yet omnipresent—function as invisible root systems, transmitting energy and sustaining the vital rhythms of modern society.
Their relationship to humans parallels that of branches to leaves.
Yuxi Lu is an interdisciplinary artist working across installation, contemporary jewelry, and visual media. She holds degrees from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (BA) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (MA). Her practice explores the symbiotic relationship between industrial civilization and natural materials within the context of the Anthropocene. Her work has been exhibited internationally and has received several honors, including the BKV Prize for Young Applied Arts and the RAFA Outstanding Graduate Award. Her pieces are held in private collections worldwide.
