Birgit Laken
Laken's newest brooches are from the 'Animaled' series. 'Animaled' is a non existing word. Birgit Laken makes animal like shapes inspired by photography of mainly trees. These photo's from her own portfolio are glewed on mdf and uv lackered. The edges of the non existing animals are round and painted with acrylic paint, which gives a strange spatial effect.
Claude Chavent
Chavent is master of jewellery and metal objects with the welknown 'Trompe l'oeil' effect. This exhibition is a retrospective of his last jewellery pieces, because from now on he will focus more on his objects and sculptures.
