Presented during WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, Closets, Cabinets and Containers of Secrets brings together an international group of artists exploring themes of coming out, revealing secrets, identity, and the many ways we choose to disclose - or conceal - our personal truths.
Artist list
Amal Al-Ismaili, Anna Ariutkina, Alejandra Bahamón, Yotam Bahat, Ildze Bogana, Julia Boix-Vives, Gimena Caram, Damien Carpenter, Ting Fen Chin, Elisabeth Drude, Esteban Erosky, Yuqi Fan, Daniel Jirkovsky, Christina Karababa, Katja Kempe, Zoé Kiner-Wolff, Jeannette Knigge, Tove Knuts, Erik Lijzenga, Yaning Liu, Magdalena Maślerz, Céline Munisso, Katherine Murcia Lara, Margo Nelissen, Into Niilo, Kathy Ouellette, Ruudt Peters, Annelies Planteydt, Konstanze Prechtl, Marina Rodríguez Ferrero, Annemiek Steenhuis, Olga Tea Krek, Ingrid Weissgerber, Wanyan Wu, Evgenia Zoidaki, Hanneke van Hage
Through an international open call, participating artists were invited to reflect on the idea of coming out, revealing a secret, or more broadly, on the concept of secrecy itself. The result is a diverse collection of contemporary jewellery and objects that offers intimate, thought-provoking, and deeply personal perspectives from creators from around the world.
