Is collecting a human instinct? It is not. In case of birds such as crows and bowerbirds, collecting is surprisingly similar to human behavior. Moreover, collecting and decorating are repetitive and closely related instincts. If the instinct to mark an area and create a fence is to extend one's area; on the contrary, collecting may be an action that symbolizes each space and reduces it to a single point. Thus, the action of collecting is civilized and advanced in various forms for humans.
