Karl Fritsch - METROSIDEROS ROBUSTA
edited by Andy Lim
As a result of the winning of the Françoise van den Bosch Award 2006 Karl Fritsch (Munich) decided to make a book – an idea which was running through his mind for some time. The works of more than a decade from this young enfant terrible German goldsmith, also known as ”Lord of the Rings”. Now the book is finished and will be presented at Gallery Ra in the presence of the artist and the publisher.
26 Essays in 13 languages are contributed by international experts asRobert Baines, Warwick Freeman, Helen Drutt, Graziela Folchini Grassetto, Hiko Mizuno, Paolo Tuminelli, Paul Derrez, etc. etc. etc. The only appropriate match for the contents could only be the Tryptich-Hardcover, every book handbound in 3 different colours of linnen, in various combination of coulours.
This book is released in a limited edition of worldwide 1000 books, which makes the number of books produced smaller as the amount of illustrations in a single book.
