Exhibition opens in Barcelona on the 6th of october at the FAD-gallery at 20.30. FAD-exhibition space is in front of the Barcelona contemporary art museum, MACBA.

The show presents the works of 24 Finnish contemporary jewellery artists from the County of Southern Finland, whose experimental approaches of interpreting jewellery as conceptual objects resemble any other way of contemporary expression. They use and combine known materials into new and endless compositions.

The selection of participants has been made by Eija Mustonen and Antonio Altarriba, and a catalogue accompanies the exhibition, which is available from the gallery.

The participants are:
Nikolai Balabin, Jiri Geller, Juhani Heikkilä, Eero Hintsanen, Mikko Holm Petteri Ikonen, Tuulia Kasonen, Chao-Hsien Kuo, Mervi Kurvinen, Helena Lehtinen, Sari Liimatta, Eija Mäkelä, Kati Nulpponen, Marja Nuutinen, Anu Peippo, Inni Pärnänen, Anna Rikkinen, Janna Syvänoja, Olli Tamminen, Nelli Tanner, Terhi Tolvanen, Tarja Tuupanen, Eeva Wornell and Kaisa Vuorinen.
The exhibition has been produced and organised by the Arts Council of Southeast Finland, with the kind collaboration of Orfebres FAD, the Design Department of South Carelia Polytechnic, the Arts Councils of Häme and Uusimaa, and the Administrative Board of the County of Southern Finland.
