. Once upon a time, there was a jewellery designer who liked to make stories. He wondered why almost all art forms told stories beyond just a narrative message, except for jewellery. The young designer tapped his chin and mused: ‘Well, if no one will try it, why not do it myself?’

. From there started a journey of research and inspiration, eventually ending in kinetic, wearable objects. These were used to tell the story of a piece of sponge travelling across the artist’s body to save its homeland. The story was heavily inspired by Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey story structure. As of the summer of 2022, the story consisted of a teaser for the eventual longer, complete story.. Corneel De Schamphelaere
