SMCK on Reel. Chain of Solidarity in Hamburg

Twenty five Ukrainian artists who are currently living in the war zone or who have found refuge abroad show movies reflecting their personal experiences, hopes and dreams, their daily struggle with fear and loss, and their defiance, courage and resistance in today’s Ukraine.

A two-day online workshop in October, accompanied by electricity cuts and bombings by the Russian aggressor, introduced Ukrainian artists to the possibilities of the medium video.

The videos will be screened from 24–27 November at Künstlerhaus FAKTOR in Hamburg and at the same time at Dukat Art Gallery in Kyiv.

We cordially invite you to meet the artists and watch their videos online on Sunday 27 November.
You can join the online meeting via Zoom or Facebook Live stream.
