Focusing on the socio-political, Hannah explores ideas of power structures and societal constraints in her jewellery objects, questioning notions of class, status and wealth.
The current series of neckpieces made from graphite, soap and communion wafers reference the concept of dirty money, representing sin, repentance and absolution.

Ismail Kamran is a contemporary jeweller and silversmith residing in the UK. His Pakistani roots and interest in modern art are harmoniously incorporated in his designs, expressing his religious and cultural identity in a modern context. He uses a combination of contemporary and traditional jewellery-making techniques to create architectural and visually complex articles of jewellery. His current works explore the use of titanium in the context of jewellery.

This collection intertwines the past with the present, taking inspiration from the decorative soft furnishings within Amy’s Grandparents' current home and the industrial city of Portsmouth where her father lived until the age of 14. Combining these domestic (interior) and urban (exterior) landscapes enables the ornate and the corroded to sit in conjunction with these uncanny mixed-media outcomes. The contrasting surfaces suggest the familiar is not always comfortable.

Research into graffiti and how we leave a mark in this world led to the exploration of ancient graffiti carved into church walls, often as symbols of protection. Taking imprints directly from these marks and including her own marks, Belinda used the process of casting to recreate them as contemporary jewellery. Casting maintains the authenticity and connection with both her and the original marks and their meaning.

With every new environment, the sky seems familiar yet foreign. At home, the sky seems familiar and predictable; its presence is constant. The transient sense of belonging that each sky provides is a product of my upbringing, an ephemeral life that matured under many horizons. This jewellery collection is a wearable metaphor, capturing the essence of the sky through enamel and continuous form. These pieces are the sky in microcosm.
