Walking Tall by Linda van Niekerk

This exhibition embodies three separate inspirations held together by my desire, as always, to imbue the work with a simple elegance that sits well on the body and encourages the wearer to be bold, proud, and walk tall. In the first instance, as the timing of this exhibition coincides with International Women’s Day, Handmark and I agreed it would be a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate women who contribute significantly to Tasmania’s vibrant creative industry.  Twenty women who already walk tall in their own right were invited to take part.
