You are cordially invited to a duo lecture on “multiples” with Into Niilo and Ted Noten on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at PXL-MAD.
For Into Niilo, multiples are the bridge between art and design. While design can often be a compromise—a way to make a living—multiples allow Niilo to adapt the surreal energy of their artistic practice into something wearable and accessible. It's about making the unorthodox recognizable, and creating jewelry that still tells a story but also fits into everyday life. In the world of multiples, art meets functionality—but the playfulness and edge are never lost.
Ted Noten turns multiples into a playful provocation. By repeating, copying, and reimagining familiar forms, he challenges our obsession with uniqueness and value. For Noten, multiples are not just replicas but a mischievous nod to how we view craftsmanship, ownership, and identity in a world of mass production. It's a game—"what is real?"—in a culture where everything is copied.
When: Thursday, October 9, 7:00 PM,
Where: AudiTorium Jewelry Design & Goldsmithing, Building G, PXL-MAD School of Arts, Campus Elfde Linie, Hasselt
