Open call for submission of Article and Exhibition Review

The journal is a peer-reviewed online and open-access publication that focuses on the design, theory and praxis of jewellery studies. It promotes jewellery research into materials, techniques, technologies, methodologies, processes, concepts and aesthetics. The journal provides an interdisciplinary arena for the discussion and analysis of jewellery spanning the conceptual, practical, pedagogical and cultural across both contemporary and historical timeframes to consider jewellery within the wealth of creative methodologies at the intersections between jewellery and other disciplines. We aim to publish original papers that have demonstrable research and a clear contribution to existing knowledge and to this end we foster submissions from practitioners, researchers, theorists, curators, and historians.

Types of Paper Accepted:
Submissions can be made in two forms of academic paper: Conventional and Visual/Textual - please see descriptions of each and formatting requirements below.

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the journal reviewing committee. The committee will be formed of a panel of international jewellery and design researchers. Submissions are not to be anonymized for review; reviewers will be required to declare any conflict of interest over reviewed work.

10.2020: Notification to Authors of Reviews and Amendments Required.
11.2020: Deadline for Re-submission of Amended Paper or Exhibition Review.
12.2020: Notification to Authors of Acceptance of Full Paper or Exhibition Review.
02.2022: Online Publication of Volume 4.
