The Goldsmiths’ Centre opens applications for Getting Started Online 2025, the one-week free introduction to business course
The Goldsmiths’ Centre invites emerging jewellery and silversmithing talent from across the UK to apply for Getting Started Online 2025, a free, one-week introduction to business course. The programme offers up to 100 early-career designers, makers, and craftspeople essential business skills and networking opportunities through live webinars led by industry experts.
 
  • The Goldsmiths’ Centre’s one-week, free introduction to business course Getting Started Online 2025 runs 17 – 21 March, offers essential business skills to early-career jewellery and silversmithing professionals.
  • Participants can network, learn from experts, and apply for further promotion via the Spotlighting Getting Started initiative.
  • Applications close Sunday 19 January 2025; eligibility includes relevant UK-based training or apprenticeship.

Participants will gain knowledge on starting and managing a creative business, branding, product development, and growing sales channels. The course also includes a chance to apply for Spotlighting Getting Started, which offers further exposure via exhibitions and promotion through the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s Instagram account, connecting alumni to over 23.3k followers.

Each year, we are proud to support up to 100 emerging talents in laying the foundation for successful businesses. Eligible applicants must have completed a recognised Precious Metal course, related craft discipline training, or an apprenticeship within the UK.
