Intro
Join writer and critic Emily Rhodes for a walking book club as she explores Rachel Lichtenstein’s 'Diamond Street,' an evocative account of Hatton Garden and its surroundings.
While navigating the very streets depicted in the book, Emily will lead discussions on Lichtenstein's characters, stories, and themes, such as craftsmanship, diasporic life, and the historical layers of London, illuminating how this area became renowned as London's jewellery district.

The walk, starting at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and lasting about 1.5 hours, will have limited seating opportunities. Participants are encouraged to read the book beforehand, though it is not mandatory. To join, attendees must be at least sixteen years old, and the event is capped at fifteen people. You can order a ticket with a nearly new copy of the book for an additional £5; just ensure you provide the correct postal address.

When: Wednesday 1 October 2024. 6pm – 7.30pm
Cost: £20 Ticket only, £25 Ticket + Book
