Enhance your skill set with flush setting, also known as gypsy setting. This minimalist yet sought-after technique showcases stones elegantly nestled just beneath the metal’s surface, offering durability and preserving their natural beauty.
Led by expert setter Sean Sims, gain hands-on experience in setting brilliant and princess cut stones. Expand your versatility and craftsmanship to meet the demands of modern jewellery design.

Timings: 9.30 am - 4.30 pm.

Sean Simms is a professional setter based in the London Jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden. After an apprenticeship and with over 30 years’ experience working as part of the trade, Sean has had the opportunity to work on one off, bespoke commissions as well as commercial pieces. Passionate about our trade, he is now ready to share his skills and experience as a new tutor with the Goldsmiths’ Centre.
