This workshop is a great class for beginners and experienced jewelers looking to expand their skill set. We will be learning to fuse Argentium silver and also play with various methods of texturing. Students will leave with a finished Argentium silver band!
In this one-day workshop, students will create a sterling silver band ring using the unique fusing properties of Argentium silver. Participants will learn torch control, fusing techniques, texturing methods, forming, sizing, finishing, and polishing while building confidence working with this luminous metal. Argentium is a modern sterling alloy that resists tarnish, reduces fire scale, and can be fused without solder, allowing for bright, seamless forms. Hypoallergenic and low-maintenance, it is an ideal material for everyday wear. This class is well suited for both beginners and experienced jewelers looking to expand their technical skill set. Students will leave with a finished Argentium silver band.

About the Instructor:
Brienna Hall holds a bachelor’s degree in sculpture with a minor in fiber arts from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her creative journey began as a photographer and milliner, where she honed her eye for composition, texture, and form through analog photography and the creation of sculptural headwear. Over time, this path evolved into Shrine Jewelry, where she unites her love of beauty, symbolism, and fine metalwork.
Working from her studio in Mendocino, California, Brienna creates jewelry that reflects both elegance and individuality. In addition to her studio practice, she shares her expertise through workshops on sand casting precious metals, keum-boo, and Argentium silver, teaching throughout Northern California and beyond.
About the Mendocino Art Center:
Nestled on the rugged Northern California coast, the Mendocino Art Center is a historic hub for artists and creatives of all disciplines. With professional studios and sweeping ocean views, it offers an unforgettable setting for focused creative work.
