More than 40 years weaves the history of Arte y Joya, the magazine of Grupo Duplex born in cosmopolitan Barcelona, had the opportunity to promote the work that was barely published at the time and now are now established names in the international sector, such as this is the case of the Munsteiner family in Germany or the Spanish sculptor Amador Braojos.
The Padua School, the best of La Massana or Le Arti Orafe, passed through its pages ... The first voices that emerged with a Latin rhythm on the other side of the Atlantic ... Arte y Joya gave us the best of their time and the best of many times. Until nine years ago Grupo Duplex decided to regain direct contact with emerging creators again with Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook, maintaining its seal, Arte y Joya, at the Arte y Joya International Award.
Today we rewrite this history of commitment through its name and legacy and through the “novel” experience that the Yearbook has provided us.  Now we do it digitally, with the objective with which we have worked all these years, to promote and empower jewellery creativity.

Organization’s Philosophy:
if our objective is to promote art in jewelry, it cannot ignore the multiple voices and discourse generated by this discipline. With Arte y Joya and with the Yearbook we always had that satisfaction. Together, through contemporary jewellery and the yearbook Arte y Joya, this speech acquires versatility and effectiveness. We are here to unite languages, to help them expand, to commit ourselves, and commit themselves to what a jewel as a vehicle of expression has to offer. Infinity of nuances, infinity of aesthetic, emotional, human expressions, Arte y Joya wants to be your spokesperson.

Organization’s Goals and Objectives:
The main objective of the organization is to promote contemporary artists. The participation in Arte y Joya is aimed at all those designers who seek to promote their work. All those who want to participate must do it with a single 100% contemporary piece. Among all the participants, a specialized jury plus the popular vote of web visitors will select the 32 finalists from all the pieces presented. The finalists will be published in the printed edition of Arte y Joya 2020 and in October the winner of the tenth edition of the international Arte y Joya award will be announced.

Requirement: That the works presented are 100% contemporary with a creative soul.

Board members:
Editor: Pedro J. Pérez,
Dirección: Pablo X. Pérez,
Dirección editorial: Petra Marín,

The five members of the jury who will decide in this tenth edition the 32 finalists and the winner of the Arte y Joya International Award have been revealed. Five recognized international experts in artistic and jewellery research, aim that the decision is as varied as possible. They will be joined by a popular vote. The publication of the award closes the new cycle initiated by the Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook “Arte y Joya”. The works of all the participants are posted online. Finalists will have the opportunity to participate in the printed catalog and the main winner selected for the Arte y Joya International Award will
have all the editorial support of Grupo Duplex and its social networks, including an article in the newspaper Contraste, the leader in the communication of the jewellery-watchmaking industry in Spain.
