Al abrir la ventana entró el Olor a Mezcolanza.
Y va tarareando

Juanjo Garcia Martin is a jeweler of Spanish art. He lives and works in Malaga. His artistic approach combines different disciplines that he has been practicing indiscriminately from an early age: painting, music and art jewelry.
A self-taught artist, who is not afraid of experimentation, especially in his search for materials, whose diversity is impressive. His latest collection of unique pieces, entitled Mares de Asfalto explores the theme of the urban environment: the city, of course, but also the worlds it houses, its buildings, streets, towers, inhabitants, all make endless layers of colors and parallels stories, crossed by the lines and volumes characteristic of urban architecture
Statement
Collection “Asphalt Seas”I have always felt a special fondness for creating rings, although in the period of these last years the language of my work was transmitted through the appearance of the brooch. This allowed me to be able to introduce a concept in the form of a plane, with ideas that are transformed into a canvas, telling stories with a more poetic language.
The idea of this language revolves around the cities, and everything that they shelter, its buildings, its streets, the agglomerations of people creating infinite prescriptions of colors, the cultural variety that builds parallel histories, and the line with the volume that Are always present, along with the signs of the passage of time in their gray facades, where in the end the individual moves on manufactured summits, as a unitary being, driven through asphalt seas.
... Caught in nearby cities moments where everyone is unitary and the individual moves seeking poetry in the plains of asphalt and its opaque colors of prefabricated tops to accommodate everyone in a set of unit blocks ...
