I completed my doctoral studies in Paris in 2013. In my doctoral research, I examined the role of "the designer as a media intermediary" In my academic and creative work, I attempt to express the uniqueness in the connections between the different worlds in the form of content and material.

Combining Materials
I have been involved for many years in an ongoing research which focuses, and whose essence are the connections between soft and hard materials, specifically between metal and fabrics. I import from various places around the world to Israel, where my research is conducted, different types of fabrics and in some cases weave some of the fabric myself.
The result is the creation of totally new looking materials which I utilize in designing my collections. My main challenge is the integration of various techniques used in producing metals objects, incorporating metal and textile into one organic form to achieve an end product with a new and unique identity.
My language of design and technology combines “materials”, physical and conceptual that are perceived as opposites and different. In so doing I attempt to obtain unique ideas in both my clothing and jewelry collections. Metal is integrated into forms an integral part of the fabric. The use of metal impacts the perception of the design making it appear radical in nature due to the use of a hard material that takes on a softer texture when combined with fabric.
