Bio

Rachel Ouizemann is an Israeli jewelry artist currently based in Canada. Attained an MA in History of Art at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2018, and a jewelry education at the Israel Diamond Exchange Center and the Vancouver Metal Art School in 2018-2019. Since 2021, exhibited in Israel, China, New York, Italy and Spain. Will soon participate in a show in Finland.

Statement

Using a variety of materials and techniques, I am interested in jewelry as a site-specific practice and function. Focusing on the reciprocal relations between the body and the worn object, I examine jewelry as an extension of both personal and public identities.
