Bio
I am very fortunate to have a home for my jewelry in 35 museums around the world. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; The Vatican Museum, Rome; The Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and many more. I am privileged to have earned a dual degree from Case Western Reserve and The Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation, I taught undergraduate & graduate students the Art of Jewelry at Florida State University, Tallahassee Florida. I call what I do my hobby because it is my source of creativity and pleasure; which is how this craft became my career.Statement
My designs are intended for the person who does not want just beautiful, precious, mass-produced jewelry. My designs are intended for those people who are not afraid of the different or the unusual. There is no sketching before starting a collection beforehand, I believe my work is enriched because my creativity is allowed to flourish. I do not copy another artists' work, though I draw inspiration from them. My jewelry is made of 18, 22 & 24 Kt. Gold, Sterling Silver, Cloisonné Enamel, semi-precious stones, and found objects I encounter in everyday life that are unusual. Each piece has a personality of its’ own.-
