Musician, artist, sculptor, jeweler, professor, master craftsman and expert technician, Watkins was born in Wolverhampton, England, in 1940. Barbara Cartlidge, director of the Electrum Gallery in London, says about the artist: "I have had the privilege of witnessing the unfolding of its extraordinary talent in all these disciplines over the last thirty years."
This volume includes the work of Watkins from 1997 to 2003. With incredible precision, each piece is designed and executed with carefully chosen materials, colors and drawing. While at all times he is strict in controlling the manufacturing process, he confesses an occasional relaxation that allows him to enter the playful side in his creation.
