This book follows the project Regarding House no 10, a project by artist Mona Wallström, with notes, sketches, images., thoughts and final Jewellery objects.
In the finished series of works that comprise Regarding House no.10 we can follow the associative pathways, or at least the illusion of them. If one pathway starts at the building opposite the artist’s studio, where physicians used to work, it continues on to the trees beside the building, then to wood as a material for the casket-like bags in which physicians carried their instruments, then pictures of the bacteria that were studied by medical science – perhaps through microscopes that are carried in just this type of bag – and so on. It is not that the pictures and associations create a cohesive pattern; it is rather that the objects follow each other in a wild, tripping manner and intervene with each other in a way resembling the enigmatic logic of dreams. / Love Jönsson
