Produced in conjunction with Sondra Sherman | Found Subjects at Sienna Gallery, Lenox, MA USA in 2011.
‘Found Subjects’ plays with a notion of chance collaboration as each piece, was created in response to metaphorically resonant and aesthetically substantive aspects of selected old book titles or bindings. The juxtaposition of the used books and jewelry pieces with their implied ‘site’ of the body/wearer become a form of portraiture, in this case of an imagined wearer, reader, or author. The viewer is offered another context for interpretation in the presentation of the jewelry piece in the book which inspired it.
