The facial jewellery collection “Doux Leurre” by Pauline Müller promises intensive bodily and visual experiences for the wearer and viewer alike. Whoever engages with this facial metamorphosis, even for a short time, experiences their altered appearance with force and skin-felt vividness. With this work Pauline undertakes a playful yet critical exploration of the (mostly not pain-free) practices of body or facial modification to which individuals from all cultures have eternally been emotionally drawn. With yourself as the model, experience how fluid the boundaries between eccentricity and absurdity can be!.
