FiloRosso, took this continuity as a basic element of it's own identity as presenting a double contest aimed at artists already well established and in parallel with young talent, involving artists of different realities and cultures, eager to act as appointment biennial contemporary jewel.
There is always an invisible thread that binds our done in continuous succession of days, actions as our desires. A thin plot unites people to places, feelings to memories, desires to hopes. How much of this invisibile is expressed, content, expressed, concentrated in the objects we call to live our lives. An object sought, found, wanted is familiar, speaks of us, keeps better memory moments, the cradle in the affected distant memory, expresses for forms and colors preferences and fantasies. And what better subject of a gem in itself inherently leads this important set of messages, this code of values, this secret legacy that we unwittingly resembles?

A jewel speaks of us and belongs to us. Don’t define it accessory but complement ornament, symbol, emblem of beauty, faith, time, love, death and if you want vanity, the infinite vanity of evrything in the seventeenth century Adriaen van Utrecht made with the luminescent transparency a string of pearls mollemente lying between cut flowers and a skull warner.

FiloRosso wants to make manifest in a subtle interplay of subtle indications that bond that made explicit by the same materiality of jewellery, made using the fabric, expresses the value of continuity and belonging that keeps the jewel in its essence.

FiloRosso, playful transliteration of invariable French phrase fil rouge, took this continuity in its broadest sense, as a basic element of his own identity as presenting a double contest aimed at artists already well established and in parallel with young talent, involving artists of different realities and cultures, eager to act as appointment biennial contemporary jewel. The same prize, a simple wire red sign of unity and belonging, dedicated to a young artist will be transposed to every edition by a winner to perpetuating one that wants to begin to be a tradition in the world of gold and its contemporaneity allowing us to recognize in time the new row behind to the intimate importance that every jewel brings to our life.
