Majoral unveils a series of jewels and objects imbued with African flair—a personal interpretation of the continent’s nature, culture, and essence. The exhibition explores the links between Majoral’s work and the ancestral craftsmanship of diverse African peoples, united by a symbolic, direct, spontaneous, and primal language.

Enric Majoral
The dry air of the savannah drifting through the branches of the baobabs will travel northward, tracing the African continent, drawing life from its scents, colours, and ancestral depths. It will cross deserts, gathering warmth and strength to ascend the peaks of the Atlas Mountains, and from there, flow to the coast. It will carry the perfume of spices and the rhythm of drums across the sea—tribal echoes taking shape in jewels and objects. Symbolic, spontaneous, and primal art and craftsmanship, offering a free interpretation of Africa’s cultural essence.
This exhibition of deeply rooted art and craft has been created at the invitation of Galeria Sergi Sánchez, which will host the show from May through September 2025.
Enric Majoral (Sabadell, 1949) has been creating jewelry as a self-taught artist for over fifty years from the island of Formentera, where he has lived since the early 1970s. His creations are not bound to any specific artistic movement; rather, they reflect a distinctive style developed over decades. Ever restless, both personally and professionally, Majoral’s work is in constant evolution—experimenting with materials, forms, and techniques—resulting in consistently surprising creations in the world of jewelry, as well as bronze objects and other sculptural works.
