We are delighted to continue our successful exhibition series with three outstanding positions in contemporary ceramics and artist jewelry.
Artist list
Daniel Kruger, Gina Nadine Müller, Lifu Zhou
DANIEL KRUGER is an important, internationally active jewelry artist, but his ceramics are only known to a few connoisseurs. The artist’s work is both provocative and delightful in its combination of kitsch and desire. Classic models such as Delft porcelain or Baroque tableware are charged with erotic references – a new perception is challenged by a pleasurable process.
This is contrasted by the work of two up-and-coming young jewelry artists. LIFU ZHOU's brooches give the appearance of natural crystals, but are made from common edibles – such as fruit, tea, or spices – and challenge us to reflect on appearance and reality. With its special feel and colors, GINA NADINE MÜLLER's jewelry is sensual and intimate. It invites a free play of imagination and connects with the memories and experiences of the wearer.
Introduction: Dirk Allgaier Publisher arnoldsche ART PUBLISHERS The artists will be here in person.
Opening:
Friday, 15 November 2024, 6:30 pm
Duration of the exhibition: 16—17 November 2024, 10 am to 5 pm.
