Intro
An exhibition by two artists with different approaches to contemporary jewellery. While Jana Machatova works with opposites and contradictions, Peter Machata focuses essentially in the form and experimentalism. Jana Machatová in her jewelry advocates private and public, historical and contemporary, or nostalgic in cutting plants extracted figural compositions.
Peter Machata creates rather ambiguous spaces, which consist of multiply layers, sometimes with particular reference (teeth, noses), other times he focuses specifically on the experiment with reduced design embossed on the base.”
-Viera Kleinova, curator of the exhibition.
