Intro
Two parallel universes of contemporary jewelery are meeting at Gallery Reverso.
Sofia Björkman
I told a friend that I find it difficult to make something that looks wild and he replied: I went out to look for horns, and when I came back I found everything in a mess.
I wonder what the bird has done.. Afterwards, I made some jewelry pieces and showed them to a photographer. The photographer asked: what have you done? and I answered: I wonder what the bird has done. Can you tell me?

Beppe Kessler
In my brooches, I work with layers.
I pile materials on top of one another and add acrylic as a top layer, which I then cut into convex forms (cabochon) or facets. By adding this layer, which enlarges or distorts the image underneath, I consciously manipulate that image. Although they may look like gemstones, and although I employ terms from the gemstone profession, no gemstones are actually used and in fact, my focus is not on the top layer but on the materials lying underneath
