For this exhibition, Karin Seufert explores the tangible forms that time can takes through celestial bodies.

Like emptiness, time is difficult to depict. It is complex and ever-changing; it is immaterial. The sky serves as a tool for orienting oneself in time; the sun defines the days, the moon marks longer phases, and the stars enable spatial navigation.
Karin Seufert’s latest works portray these celestial bodies: the sun as a flickering yellow circle, the moon in its shifting phases, and the stars in multifaceted forms.
Since time cannot be directly seen, it is intangible and changeable - I approach it through repetition, rhythm and orientation, taking celestial bodies as guides. The circle forms the foundation of this exploration. It represents the sun as a simple yellow segment, appearing in varying proportions, dimensions and intensities throughout the individual pieces. - Karin Seufert
