Intro
Hands are tools that make things happen. They cook, build, clap rhythms, make fires, kill and heal, and nowadays they swipe and press all sorts of buttons. It seems like they are mostly intended to carry out what the brain has planned, but there is another story. What if the hands had enough?

Artist list

Alexander Blank, Barbara Posch
What if they wanted to break free and create a new reality?

In Alexander Blank's latest work, we get a glimpse of this speculative evolutionary path where hands and fingers become independent and free - become themselves.

Hands also have a central place in Barbara Posch's series of drawings With our different tools. When she draws, her hand and pen form a connection between her mind space and her physical space. In the mind space, there is no finished image - it emerges as a result of the collaboration between nerve signals, the motor skills of the hand and the function of the pen. During the process, she discovers things that lead her further. Together, the hand and the pen create the development.
