Participants will gain a solid foundation for experimenting with how texture and structure interact in thin metal. As a bonus, Åsa will demonstrate her own stone-setting method, which uses a thin sheet to create bold effects.

About Åsa Lockner
Born in 1973 in Solna, Sweden, and educated at Konstfack (MFA 1999), Åsa Lockner creates jewelry exploring transformation—objects linked to history and the present. Her work reflects on fragility, permanence, and nature’s relentless cycles. Represented in Nationalmuseum, Röhsska, and Rian Designmuseum, she exhibits internationally. Since 2016, she has divided her time between her jewelry practice and directing Mellösaverken, a place for living, artistic creation, and artist residencies.
About Catarina Hällzon
Catarina Hällzon is a Swedish artist and contemporary jewellery maker with an MFA from Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Drawing on traditional craft techniques and materials, her work explores the relationship between nature, memory, and contemporary society. Based in Bergslagen, Sweden, her practice is deeply influenced by the surrounding natural environment. She has exhibited widely in Sweden and internationally. Her works are represented in several public and private collections, including the Swedish National Museum, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, and Galerie Biro in Munich.
