On Sunday 26 February, Lucy Sarneel will give a lecture and conduct a workshop on the occasion of her exhibition Private territory in public. The lecture and workshop will provide more insight into the artist's sources of inspiration and the materials and techniques she uses.
Participants will have ample opportunity to study and touch various materials, or to use the instruments under Sarneel's direction. Of course they will also be able to talk to the artist about her work. CODA director Carin Reinders will host the reception.

With the exhibition Private territory in public - staged up until and including 9 April - CODA Museum presents a mid-career overview of Lucy Sarneel's work. Sarneel sees jewellery as the starting point of communication, as a medium that encompasses both the sacred and the mundane, as reflections of traditions and customs, desires and interpretations. Moreover, Private territory in public presents Sarneel's work as autonomous visual art and small-scaled sculptures.
