About Julia Obermaier and Gina Nadine Müller:
Julia Obermaier is a German born artist trained in jewelry making, with a BFA in Gemstones and Jewellery and a MA in Advanced Design. Her work has been exhibited all over the world and was awarded for example with a special mention of the Loewe’s Craft Prize in 2022 and the Homo Faber Young Ambassador Award in 2024. “Gemstones are the force that is driving me in my creative work. On the one hand, it is the exploration of materiality and approaching the limits and secrets of stones. On the other hand, it is the semiotic charge, meaning and use of gemstones – especially of diamonds – in our society.

Gina Nadine Müller is a German artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry and Gemstones from Trier University of Applied Arts. “Jewelry is an intimate object – worn close to the body, we associate it with personal moments. I see my works as objects of gentle touch, which connect to the wearer’s memories and emotions. Their form and texture want to be explored through touch, sensing the surface of the material on the skin, experiencing its softness and weight on the body. I want my jewelry to feel good, yet unexpected and surprising. Pale pink colors often appear in my work for they can evoke expectations of certain haptics and tactility that leave room to play with. I love to explore various materials, such as sea snail shells, silk, leather, porcelain, cosmetic sponges, vitreous enamel, pink opal and jesmonite, discovering the possibilities that these materials offer. My jewelry sparks the curiosity in the viewer to experience the feeling of touching and wearing it.”
