Aria Gallery, a prominent contemporary art center in Tehran, was established in 1992. Specializing in modern and contemporary visual arts, the gallery added a Contemporary Jewelry Department in 2016. This department provides a platform for showcasing contemporary jewelry artworks, organizing solo and group exhibitions, specialized meetings, and holding the annual Tehran Contemporary Jewelry Exhibition.
Aria Gallery fosters connections with international artists and experts, facilitating the presence of Iranian artists on the global art stage. The gallery's participation in events such as Munich Jewelry Week and its collaboration with Le Arti Orafe in Florence, Italy in 2017, demonstrates its commitment to promoting Iranian artists internationally. To date, the gallery has hosted over 15 solo and group contemporary jewelry exhibitions, and its artists have participated in numerous international events.
The goals and approaches of the gallery include recognizing the potential of Iranian contemporary artistic jewelry-making and introducing current trends. This involves understanding artistic practices related to concepts, technology, and visual structures. The gallery's creative approach extends to the selection of materials, composition, and craftsmanship, with a focus on the artistic medium of contemporary jewelry-making. By embracing a sculptural approach and exploring the non-decorative potentials of jewelry as an art form, the gallery aims to provide a platform for introducing artists to international audiences and strengthening their presence in both national and international arenas.
Opening Hours: Sunday to Friday 4-8 PM.
