Bio
Jewelry was my first language – an intimate connection with the body, the surface, closeness. I hold a degree in Metal Art and Jewelry from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. This small, concentrated form taught me to think through material and touch. Over time, a natural need to expand emerged – to search for broader surfaces, larger spaces, and slower rhythms. That path led me to painting, which I later pursued at the MA degree level. Through this shift, I discovered new ways of thinking about form, composition, and emptiness.Statement
Having studied both jewelry and painting, I found myself working between disciplines – and gradually, erasing the boundaries between them. Today, I navigate freely between jewelry, sculpture, wall objects, and installation. Each format becomes part of a shared language. My work often begins with recycled or discarded materials, which I pair with precious metals or stones. Sustainability is not only a method, but a philosophy – finding value in what was forgotten. A recurring motif in my practice is the hole: once an instinctive gesture, it has grown into a structure, a space of transformation. The hole connects – linking objects, formats, memories – and allowing the work to breathe.
