I frequently comb the Atlantic coastline and wetlands in search of the objects and materials you can find in my work. From miniature shells to fossilized sharks teeth, my work is a figurative expression of the varied wetland habitats found in southeast America.I think of myself as a modern hunter-gatherer, and my choice of materials is often an easily overlooked wonder - a miniature mollusc shell, a semi-precious mineral in its raw form, or fallen feathers. Using fine gold, sterling silver, and silk thread, I weave these elements together into narrative pieces that each tell their own unique story and offer moments of delight and discovery.
