Statement
A recurrent feature throughout my works is my interest in ornamental statements, where the issue lies in the interplay between patterns, surfaces and spaces. I often take as my starting point principles inherent in natural structures by recording, transforming and simplifying elements. Both in objects and in jewelry, I often plot my patterns onto basic forms that are strictly geometrical. The works are executed in precious metals and are developed by means of the time-consuming process of sawing out the patterns by hand. I experience the working process as meditative, with the hope that this will be communicated in the visual expression.
