I concentrate my creative approach on issues of perception, tactility and emotions as well as on the relationship and communication between user and jewellery as an object.

Bio
I am a jewellery artist working and living in a small village in Southern Estonia. Previously I have had a lengthy career in the software development but feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled at my work I took studies of jewellery and blacksmithing at the Estonian Academy of Arts. In 2015 I left my last workplace, Skype, for the jewellery art. Since then I have been working as a freelance artist, working on my jewellery brand and creating more conceptual pieces for exhibitions. I have participated in numerous exhibitions in Estonia and internationally. I consider creating and running my own jewellery brand to be an additional achievement.Statement
I am an artist, primarily known for jewellery, but I do not limit myself in artistic expression. My work involves metal, stone and photography and perception-based installations. As a photographer I try to capture the emotion, as a jewellery artist I make this physical. In jewellery field I concentrate my creative approach on issues of perception, tactility and emotions as well as on the relationship and communication between user and jewellery as an object. I explore the boundary between jewellery and sculpture. Whether working with metal or stone, I am intrigued by emphasizing the fragility and tactility of an apparently strong material.
In photography I treat the frame as a canvas and paint with my camera and light. I am not documenting reality, I escape from it by searching otherworldly and dreamlike compositions or abstractions that question the boundaries of reality. I want to make people look, feel and dream.
Regardless of the used medium my intent is to capture and create emotions.
