Statement
Through my research, I investigate new and innovative ways of combining two diverse materials, metal and glass. These two materials have held my attention for more than 25 years and my research has provided new knowledge in the areas of lampwork glass and installation for object-based practice. Through this research, I explore new material possibilities combining traditional jewellery and silversmithing techniques with lampwork glass creating one-off and limited production pieces. Repetition is a predominant feature, where most of my work is made from combining multiples of the same element. My jewellery objects are made to be enjoyed and worn, they are tactile, kinetic, spontaneous, colorful, quirky, and whimsical.-
